Inversions are an integral part of a balanced practice in Iyengar Yoga and are a panacea to good health.  Naturally, inversions can be a bit scary when we first approach inverting the body,

This class is designed to offer a safe and methodical approach to the inverted asanas, taking into consideration the practitioner's condition and ability.  In order to remain safe and build confidence when approaching the inversions, adaptations for those with challenges will be presented.  Alternatives will be covered for those who are menstruating.  
 
This online class is open to all students of yoga.  6 weeks Iyengar Yoga recommended. Yoga teachers welcome. 

Class passes (6 class pass) and single tickets eligible.  As the course is cumulative,  attending all four sessions of Introduction to Inversions is highly recommended.  

Class is taught in the Iyengar tradition, adapted to the ability and needs of those in attendance.   This class offers an approach for self-ambulatory persons with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, and symptoms associated with these and any other neurological or movement challenges.  Best suited to those able to independently transfer to and from the floor. 

Class timings are noted in California (Pacific Daylight Time) (GMT -8hrs).
Check your world clock for time difference if you are unsure.

After you book a class, you may wish to add the class to your personal calendar.  By doing so, the class will then be saved in your calendar in your own time zone.  

Zoom links are created for online classes 2 weeks prior to the start of the specific class.  
If you've registered for a future class outside of the 2 week window, once the Zoom link is created, you can sign into your account to see the Zoom link.  You will also receive a reminder email with the Zoom link details to join the online class 24 hours in advance of the class and again 20-30 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin.

Before class, please:
  • Sign in 15 minutes prior to class
  • Have your home practice props near you and your computer charged and on
  • If you want me to see you please click your video ON
  • Make sure your mat and body fit into the screen (if possible)
To avoid distraction, all audio during class will be muted at the discretion of the teacher

Please have access to a sticky mat, 3 yoga blankets, 2 bricks, a belt (or a towel), a bolster (pillows or a sofa cushion also works), wall space (in front of a locked door also works), a folding chair.
